Since the bakery went into renovations, the bread hasn't been very good; the crust falls off when frozen, and there's no longer a choice of baking levels. But yesterday, Saturday the 18th, at 9:40 a.m., not a single loaf! The response: "We're having renovations; it's not done here, that's just how it is. If you're not happy, put it online." So that's what I'm doing! Under these circumstances, it's more honest to close for the duration of the renovations.

Hello, on April 30, 2026, I went to Marie Blachère in Châteaurenard early at 6:20 AM. It was closed; everything was switched off. Before I went, of course, I checked the opening hours on my phone, which showed Monday hours from 6 AM to 8 PM. So, either they hadn't woken up yet, or they forgot to change the clocks.

I came with my dog, who was welcomed like a princess by the incredibly kind staff—a truly lovely touch. The food is generally good, with interesting menus and decent value for money. My only slight disappointment was the potato pancakes, which I found a bit average. A great place with excellent service! 👍

I was refused a 100 euro note. It is illegal to refuse a legal tender note and punishable by a 150 euro fine. Having the exact change is not mandatory but recommended. A ludicrous response, a security question—nonsense! Stop treating us like idiots!

I love bread for my breakfast. Yesterday, Thursday, January 22, 2026, I bought a Marie Blanche baguette in Châteaurenard, and this morning while eating, I bit into my toast and there was a hair inside! Hygiene! Please! 😩😩😩👎

A great shop with great products

Avoid at all costs!!! This Marie Blachère is filthy. The toilets, the tables, the floor, the staff are unpleasant, there was a tiny hair stuck in my croque monsieur, and they didn't even offer to heat up my purchases, in this case a pizza and a croque monsieur. Maybe they're understaffed, I don't know, but in any case, avoid this place.
