Honestly, keep walking. This pastry shop isn't artisanal: the products taste mass-produced and aren't worth the trip. Very disappointed.

Reading all the negative reviews, I realize we all had the same experience. Tasteless cake, probably from the day before, unfriendly person who served us, not a smile, not a thank you. First and last time.

Very disappointed with the mille-feuille. It lacked freshness and flavor. Several of us ordered it, and no one wanted to finish their portion. A real disappointment.

A thousand thanks again for the magnificent number cake for my daughter Célestine. It's the first time we've had a cake made at your place, and it certainly won't be the last. It was absolutely delicious and beautiful! ❤️ The staff and owner are incredibly kind, unlike the other comments which are simply jealousy stemming from the fact that this place stands out from all the other chains. And for those who say it's expensive, no one forced you to stay when you see the price displayed under each product 👍 Thanks again for my daughter's 3rd birthday, and see you soon! 🎉

I was very surprised by the negative reviews. I bought a Saint Honoré cake; the price was right and the taste was truly incredible. I've rarely tasted such a good cake! It was my first time trying this pastry shop, and I'll be back. Thank you again!

A very good experience at Maison César, especially with the manager who was helpful and patient. I recommend this bakery 100%.

After buying three pastries for over €18. A peanut trompe l'oeil, a Castel cake, and a Nutella sponge cake. Aside from the peanut cake, the rest were truly uninteresting. The Castel cake didn't look or taste like a Castel cake, and the sponge cake tasted more like flour than Nutella. For the price, one would normally expect quality, but I admit I won't be going back there, even though the bakery is close to my home.

I'm sorry to share this very disappointing customer experience. I've been there several times and the service is completely inadequate. The staff are not at all customer-oriented or friendly; it's clear that it's not a passion for them, but rather a job without any interest. The bread is very good, however, the pastries are inconsistent in taste.

€32 for four tasteless party cakes. Sure, they looked nice, but there was absolutely no explosion of flavor. If only the taste were there... but no, what a shame! This will be my only experience.

This establishment offers excellent products, and I've been a loyal customer since they opened in Avignon. The staff is welcoming and friendly. I had a small issue when buying a pastry, and the staff were attentive and responsive. I will continue to shop there. Thank you again.

Beautiful bakery. Products very well presented. I arrived at 4:20 pm but unfortunately, I didn't even get a greeting or for anyone to take my order. A shame, because there were three sales assistants. It's a pity I didn't get to taste anything.

The sandwiches we ordered were completely unseasoned, the chicken and tuna were just awful. It's outrageous to sell such bad sandwiches for 6.80! The coconut chocolate dessert had a slight detergent taste.

Very disappointed, the last slice of pear and chocolate really lacked freshness

We tried the sandwich + drink + dessert combo. The sandwiches were quite decent. The filling was generous, well-balanced, and the ingredients seemed to be of good quality. However, the bread was more like mass-produced bread than genuine artisanal bread, which is a shame for a bakery. The selection of drinks, on the other hand, was very varied and appreciated. As for the desserts, this is where the biggest disappointment lay. When ordering, we were told that “everything is included” in the combo, without specifying that this also applied to desserts displayed for €8.50 in the window. So we chose two trompe-l'œil pastries. Visually, they were well done, but they didn't really correspond to what one would expect from a true trompe-l'œil in pastry. The fruit depicted was simply the flavor found inside: a raspberry that tasted like raspberry, a mango that tasted like mango, and so on. The element of surprise one usually expects from this type of creation, where the appearance gives way to an unexpected discovery on the palate, is therefore lacking. Furthermore, the flavors are rather artificial, and the interior is very sparsely filled: a lot of mousse, a little biscuit and cream, leaving a feeling of emptiness. We don't question the work required to create this type of pastry, which demands genuine expertise, but the price-quality ratio doesn't seem justified. At €8.50 for the dessert, we expected a much more refined taste experience. Finally, several items from our order were missing. Nothing too serious, but it does mean you have to check your bag thoroughly before leaving. In short, a bakery with good ideas and attractive presentation, but which would benefit from improving the quality of its bread, offering pastries with better value for money, and being more meticulous in preparing orders.

Not an exceptional experience. My partner and I ordered three pastries: a chocolate cake, a flan, and a pistachio tart. Honestly, nothing extraordinary, I'd even say basic, and overpriced considering the quality. Almost €6 for the chocolate cake, for a product that looks like it came off an assembly line. For the same price, or even less, the pastries at La Tropezienne bakery within the city walls are much better and more artisanal.
